Diedra Cardamone, Candidate for Ward 3 Alderman, Introduces Herself

Hello, my name is Diedra Cardamone. I live on Genesee Street and am running for Ward 3 Alderman. I am an Academic Success Coach and Mathematics Instructor at Alfred State College, a superb college and place to work. My husband, John, and I met and lived out of state before deciding to return to beautiful Hornell, his hometown, to raise our two children. I try to make every day the best it can be for myself and everyone around me.

I believe a community that cares about every citizen is one that supports open discussions, welcomes all input, embraces change, and is transparent in its decision-making. As Alderman, I will be easily reachable and responsive to the community members of Ward 3. I am passionate about surveying and assessing the needs of the people, addressing the issues, and creatively solving the problems. Some of the things I love about Hornell are the outdoor community events, student performances, athletic events, fundraisers to support community members in need, tree-lined streets, historic buildings and homes, local businesses, and all the people who live and work here. Hornell is full of beauty, and I am thankful to be here.
