The Rest of the Ballot

Last week we reminded you to vote during the general election and encouraged you to vote for the Democrats who are running for city council. Today, we're writing about the remainder of the ballot.
County Corner
Republicans Brian May and Robert Cole are running for two positions. There are no Democratic candidates. You can leave those columns empty if you prefer, or you can write in another candidate's name.
County Legislator, District 1
Republican Daniel Warriner is running for this position. There is no Democratic candidate. You can leave that column empty if you prefer, or you can write in a candidate.
Mayor
Republican John Buckley is running for re-election. There is no Democratic candidate. You can leave that column empty if you prefer, or you can write in a candidate.
Supreme Court Justice
Democrats David Sigueza and Darius Lind are running for two positions against Republicans Joe Dinolfo and Kristina Kitty Karle. Please note that Sigueza and Lind are also running as candidates for the Judicial Integrity party. You can vote for Sigueza and Lind in either the Democratic or Judicial Integrity rows, but not both rows. Voting for the same candidate more than once will invalidate your vote.
Proposition 1
If passed, Proposition 1 would allow the development of Nordic skiing and related trail facilities on 1039 acres of state forest preserve land on Mount Van Hoevenberg in exchange for 2500 acres of new forest land in Adirondack Park. The proposition enjoyed bi-partison support in the state legislature and several enviornment groups have endorsed it. However, some conservationists oppose it as an exception to the "Wild Forever" article of the state constitution.
